All you need is a computer, speakers and a little preparation. To improve the experience even more, a larger screen and good audio quality are recommended.

Preparations

• Bible Kids Explorers can be adapted to larger groups of children, but smaller groups provide better engagement. Recommended to be carried out in groups of 5-10 children.
• Read the mentor guide and collect the resources we have prepared for you

What is happening throughout the journey

• Kids register their names on the computer
• They see a film with some kids of today, that encounter a relevant dilemma. To find answers they are presented a Bible story. This is a feature film, in 3 parts.
• During the Bible story there will be 3 tasks which the kids must complete to continue. Some are designed to get the children to wonder and reflect. Other tasks require more physical engagement and lead to interaction, expression and creativity. 2 of these tasks needs some preparations.
• After the 3rd feature film part, there will be a quiz on the computer to wrap up the time travel experience.
• We have prepared some Bible cards with a Bible verse, the kids can get as a precious memory from the journey

The tasks requiring some preparation

You will find all the info you need in the mentor guide, both files for printing, and descriptions. Resources needed other than print, are simple and easy accessible. Even though a little preparation is needed, we can guarantee it will pay off. The tasks are designed to engage all children.

Based on the experience from a hundred Sunday schools, this concept can give your Sunday school a real boost. Not only for this day alone, but to ignite the love and enthusiasm for both Sunday school and even more importantly the faith and word of God. Here are some additional ideas Sunday schools have shared with us, that have made their experience even better:

• Make it a festive day, and include parents and volunteers in making it so.
• After the experience; arrange movie night for the whole church, with the feature film in the time travel. This can be truly amazing, and a great way for the generations to connect and have fellowship. Besides – the message of film apply to both children and adults.
